Three Saturdays ago, I went to Benefit Cosmetics, Alabang Town Center to get my own Party Poppers makeup set. It is Benefit's advent calendar for 2015 that comprises 12 mini Benefit favorites to mark the 12 days of Christmas or 12 days of gorgeous as Benefit like to call it.

Hanley Sandals from Tres Shoes

Christmas came early this year. I just received a gorg pair of sandals that I have been eyeing for months now--- It is the Hanley sandals (P950) from Tres Shoes. 


My love bought this pair for me when Tres Shoes had a pop-up store at SM Clark, Pampanga just 3 weeks ago. It is one of the comfiest sandals I have ever had. I can walk for hours without even complaining. You just have to buy it to get my drift... ^.^ Plus, it goes well with any outfit especially with my basic uniform (white t-shirt and ripped jeans). I just hope they'd have a physical store in the near future 'cause I would like to hoard for more pairs!

Shopping at H and M Festival Mall

The shopaholic in me didn't stop me from going to the grand opening of H and M in Festival Mall. 

It was past 2 P.M when I got there. I wasn't able to get up early for the 11 A.M grand opening 'cause I was feeling kind of nauseous the night before. Anyway, the store was a wee bit crowded when I got in. 

There was a 40-50% discount to select items including the top I'm wearing on the photo above. The highwaist pants were not on sale but it's okay as it came with a very affordable price tag (P499). 

I really am happy that H and M finally has opened a branch near my place. Now, shopping just got a lot easier!

Poshmark Boutique Goes To Alabang

Another reason to celebrate, my fellow shopaholics from down south! The famous Poshmark Boutique is going to have a branch in Alabang. Yes, you heard it loud and clear! 

Poshmark Boutique is an everyday bazaar where local celebrities shop. It houses several brands from different online sellers. Their main branch in Timog Avenue is too far from home so I have no choice but to wait for them to have a branch in the south. And finally, it's happening! 

December 4 2015 is the grand opening date of Poshmark Boutique and Cafe. It's going to be fun and exciting shopping experience, for sure! They'd be having an opening sale up to 70% off when you shop at Poshmark Alabang from December 4-6, 2015. So, mark your calendar guys!

The Pucker Up and Party Holiday 2015 kit from Benefit Cosmetics gave me the chance to play with some of their lip and cheek tints... and Benetint is one of them. 


According to Benefit Cosmetics' website, Benetint was originally created for an exotic dancer in the 70's. It's loved by many as it can give a natural and sexy flush.

Just like Posie Tint, you need to work fast in applying this product or else, you'll have a difficult time making it look even and non-patchy. It applies sheer but very buildable. The staying power is great but not on the lips. I have to do some retouches especially right after eating. I also noticed that it makes my lips a wee bit dry. 

But overall this is a good product if you want a natural rosy flush that lasts for a day. 

Pros: 
Staying power is great (on the cheeks)
Gives natural rosy flush 
Very buildable 

Cons: 
It can make your lips a wee bit dry
Can be a little tricky to apply

Benefit Porefessional Agent Zero Shine

My sweat glands are very active especially when the weather's hot and humid. Glad to know that one of my favorite makeup brands, Benefit, has a shine-control powder that minimizes shine in an instant. -- Porefessional Agent Zero Shine. 

Porefessional Agent Zero Shine is my go-to powder. It is perfect for touch-ups without making any mess. I usually put this over my foundation to help my skin stay matte for hours, but since I have really oily skin, I have to retouch after an hour or two. But that's fine by me. I find Porefessional Agent Zero Shine more convenient to use than those loose powders I have tried before. 

       
Porefessional Agent Zero Shine is fragrance-free and it helps in minimizing the appearance of pores. Inspite of its peachy tint, it goes on sheer and it has a real nice and soft texture that is easy to blend. Plus, it doesn't make your skin dull in any way. 

Pros: 
Convenient to use 
Fragrance-free
It minimizes the appearance of pores
It doesn't make your skin dull or dried out

Cons: 
The lasting power is just average especially if you have really oily skin

H and M Grand Opening at SM Southmall

Unleashing the shopaholic in me! I went to H and M's grand opening at SM Southmall yesterday (October 29) to take advantage of the store's 20% discount to all items. 


The line was crazy when I got in but good thing, I was able to catch the 1:00 PM cutoff for the 20% discount. That 20% discount is good for the whole day of October 29th. 

       H and M stamp entitles you to 20% discount to all items 

         My shopping bag is almost full 

Since Christmas time is just around the corner, I got some real nice items for gift-giving. I'm so happy with my purchases! I can't wait to get back to get a pair of knee ripped skinny jeans. I saw a pair with a pricetag of PHP 999. It's way cheaper compared to the knee ripped skinny jeans that I saw from an online store just the other day.

Longchamp is my go-to bag. It's easy to carry and a light addition to throw into your luggage. It is roomy-- you can throw in your extra shirt, make up kit, water bottle, and even your laptop.

Hey, guys! I know you're up to something this weekend and I just wish that you'd spend it wisely...  Anyway, I'm here to share some great news with you all. 

Your favorite Swedish brand, H&M, will soon open a branch at SM Southmall in Las Pinas. The grand opening day is on October 29 2015 at 11:00 AM. As what I've read from SM Southmall's official Facebook page, H&M will be giving away PHP 5000 worth of gift card for the first person in line while the next 200 in line will receive gift cards with values starting from PHP 300 - PHP 2,500. These will be given in random order. 

This excites me so much but I don't think I can make it on the 29th as I've got some errands to do that day. But of course, I'd make sure to be there at their grand opening at Festival Alabang. Finally, a H&M branch (Festival Alabang) that's only 20 minutes away from home!

Benefit Holiday 2015 Kits are here, finally! I dragged myself to Benefit Cosmetics, Alabang Town Center last October 15 to get first dibs on their Holiday 2015 kits. 

My heart literally was beating out of my chest due to so much excitement. Yeah, just imagine how giddy I was when I finally got my hands on my first ever Holiday kit from Benefit. Teehee! 

                Pucker Up and Party 

The Pucker Up and Party kit definitely is a great steal. It only costs P1500 (1900 savings). Benebalm and Posietint costs P1000 each while the travel-sized Benetint and Posietint costs P700 each. On my next visit, I'd get the Real Cheeky Party kit (P2400) which contains five of their best-selling powder blushes. I'm dying to try their Hoola Bronzer and Coralista 'cause I've been hearing so many good things about these two. You'd also find in this kit the They're Real push-up liner and mascara and Watt's Up highlighter.

I must admit, I don't have a skin care regimen. I just wash my face with my favorite facial wash and that's it. But sometimes, when I feel that my skin's real dry and flaky, I try to slather my skin with some moisturizer and I'm good to go.

Human Nature Sunflower Beauty Oil is a good moisturizer. My face has a healthy glow the next morning without having any sticky feeling. It also helped in drying out my pimples but it didn't help in lightening the dark spots and pimple marks. I didn't see any improvements in the undereye area as well but I'm not giving up... I have read somewhere that it took her about two months before she saw the results, so I guess, there's still hope for my dark undereye circles prob. 

I decided to lug it around with me last time. Unfortunately, the bottle leaked and the oil spilled all over my bag. It was a complete mess... I just hope that they'd look into this issue and try to improve its packaging...

Pros: 
Affordable price tag (P149.75 for 50 ml)
It helps in drying out pimples (case to case basis) 
Gives that healthy glow without any sticky feeling
Smooth on skin 
No harmful chemicals

Cons:
It didn't lighten dark spots and pimple marks 
It didn't help with my dark underye circles prob
The bottle tends to leak

Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Summer Fling

Happy Skin definitely makes my skin happy. I want to commend the people behind Happy Skin for creating valuable and high quality cosmetics that can be at par with international brands. 

I have already made a short review about Happy Skin Get Cheeky With Me in Summer Fling and since I adore the color of this blush so much, I also copped a lipstick (with the same shade) to add into my growing Shut Up and Kiss Me collection. 


Shut Up and Kiss Me in Summer Fling is a sheer peachy shade. I don't know why but I'm more drawn into peachy colors when it comes to makeup. Maybe because, it really complements my fair skin color and it gives me that instant summer vibe. 

Shut Up and Kiss Me is a bang for your buck because it's pigmented, long-lasting, moisturizing, and just anything you could ask for.

MAC Rebel

As much as I wanted to cut corners, I can't. Makeup is a staple thing in my life. I have pale skin and I seriously need a red/pink blush on or lipstick to brighten up my face. 


MAC Rebel is a plum lipstick that is flattering on all skin tones. Just like my HG classic red lipstick, MAC Ruby Woo, it has the magical power to brighten up my pale skin in an instant. 

But unlike Ruby Woo which is known to have very matte texture, Rebel has a creamy consistency that glides smoothly on lips. However, as I have very dry lips, it tends to be a bit drying --- tolerable though. I need to apply a lip balm to keep my lips moisturized before applying this lipstick. 

  As you can see, it looks very pigmented even with just a swipe of this lipstick. 

The longevity is just as good as Ruby Woo and it doesn't leave uneven patches when it wears off. The color clearly looks darker in the tube than on skin, so it's something that you could definitely wear everyday, especially if you don't have the gumption to wear dark lipstick shades.

Porefessional License To Blot

Oily skin? Worry no more! Benefit Porefessional License To Blot is here to keep your oily skin shine-free for hours. This blotting stick targets the shiny spots in your face -- chin, forehead and the sides of your nose. 


Benefit Porefessional License To Blot is said to have tiny invisible blotting spheres which helps to mattify shine for up to six hours after application. Tried this one just the other day and I can say that it works just fine. I applied it on top of my makeup to mattify the surface by patting motion.

I have very oily skin and I noticed that the sides of my nose became oily after three hours. But that's fine by me. It's way better than using expensive blotting papers. I'm more impressed with its ability to minimize the appearance of my pores tho... 

I love its packaging 'cause you can easily slip it inside your pocket or your purse. You can also use License to Blot before makeup, but in my opinion, it's best to use it over makeup to mattify the surface.   

Pros: 
Easy to use 
Better than blotting papers
Minimizes the appearance of pores
Great product if you're always on the go

Cons:
Can be unhygienic as it's designed to use directly onto your skin
Only stays for 2-3 hours (with very oily skin)

I'm sure there's a way to keep this stay on oily skin for more than 3 hours. Maybe, I'm just doing it the wrong way. But overall, License to Blot is a good product to keep you shine-free especially if you just have normal to combination skin.

Shy Beam Liquid Highlighter

Another favorite of mine from Benefit's Operation Poreproof kit is the all matte liquid highlighter -- Shy Beam. Shy Beam is currently exclusive to the kit and I don't have any idea when it will be available for individual sale. 

Anyway, the 4ml size of this all matte liquid highlighter from the Operation Poreproof kit is more than enough to get a feel of this product. 


Shy Beam is a nude pink shade that doesn't give a glittery finish which I personally like. The brush applicator is very convenient to use. Unlike the other liquid products of Benefit, this one doesn't have the propensity to stain nor set very quickly so you still have more room to blend and apply.

A little amount goes a long, long way. I usually apply it along my cheek and brow bones and to my cupid's bow for that instant glow without the shine.

Good news, my fellow shopaholics! H & M will be having another branch in the south (Festival Mall), which is just 20 minutes away from home. I'm so excited and I just can't hide it (literally dancing with joy) Teehee! 

H&M ( Hennes & Mauritz AB) is my favorite international clothing brand next to Forever 21. They really have huge selections for men, women, children and teens. 

My latest acquisition from them was a grey sweatshirt. It has pink LA print on it that looks so chic and cool. I just hope that their Festival Mall branch would be selling home furnishings too.

Happy Skin Get Cheeky With Me Summer Fling

Hey guys! I just want to vaunt my latest makeup haul from my favorite homegrown brand, Happy Skin. Teehee! The shade's a love at first sight 'cause it gives out that summer glow in an instant.

Get Cheeky With Me blush in Summer Fling (P699) is a pretty coral shade. The application definitely is easy. Usually, I'd apply two layers as I have got a fair skin tone. The pigmentation is nice, not chalky, unlike the blushes from other homegrown brands I have tried.

Summer Fling is the perfect shade if you want that gorgeous summer glow. It suits almost all skin tones. The longevity is a downside though especially for someone who has oily skin like me. I need to re-apply after two good hours which is a bit hassle on my part.

Makeup Goodies from Benefit Cosmetics

Makeup is a staple thing in my life. I seriously look like a blank canvass when I'm not wearing any makeup. I was a freshman in college when I have learned the makeup basics for everyday wear. It is tad difficult for a first timer, but it's easy once you get the hang out it. 

But hey, I'm not a pro... I'm still learning. I can't even do that perfect cateye wing using my liquid eyeliner from K-Palette. Haha. But, it won't stop me from buying more makeup products 'cause I know i'll be as good as my favorite celebrity MUA, Xeng Zulueta someday. Haha!

St. Marc Cafe Mango Fantasy

Ice cream makes me weak in the knees. I had a cup of this sinfully delicious ice cream at St. Marc Cafe for my 30th birthday. I went for the store's best seller ice cream (Mango Fantasy) while my partner went for some Choco Banana. 


As a mango fruit lover, the Mango Fantasy became my instant favorite. Words aren't enough to describe how good this ice cream flavor is. It consists of vanilla ice cream, soft serve ice cream, cornflakes, mango chunks, mango syrup and a gelatin-like cake on top. It's one of the best ice cream flavors I have had in my entire being. It's milky (which I liked) and a bit sour too. 

They also have drinks and freshly-baked breads. Will surely come back for their famous chococro and matcha latte.

My Birthday Came Early This Year

My birthday came early this year. Many thanks to the love of my life for giving me wonderful gifts for my 30th birthday.

H&M Sandals: I am getting quite obsessed with metallic colors so this pair of H&M sandals definitely is a winner for me. It's stylish and surprisingly comfy! 


Terranove Belt: A perfect accessory to pair with my jeans-shirt-flats uniform. 


Lanvin Eclat D'Arpege perfume- It is my second favorite scent after Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue. It has a refreshing scent, good for everyday use.

I just love receiving gifts. It does not matter whether it is expensive or not, just as long as it comes from the heart.
